DESCRIPTION:A Hume Region vertical activities day at 1st Mittagong Scouts Hall focused on developing practical vertical skills through Outdoor Adventure Skills (OAS) Vertical Stages 1-6. Multiple sessions will run throughout the day\, with participants grouped according to OAS stage\, experience\, age and demonstrated capability. Activities will range from introductory equipment familiarisation\, harness confidence\, knots\, rope handling and communication through to supervised abseiling\, belaying\, leadership and instructional skill development. Participants will build confidence\, teamwork\, leadership and safe vertical activity skills in a supportive indoor learning environment.\n\nParents\, carers and others bringing participants to the activity are welcome to make the most of their time in Mittagong and the surrounding Southern Highlands - grab a coffee or a meal\, browse the local shops\, visit a vineyard or explore the area while the session is underway.
