Brief Summary:
A fabulous 5 day, school holiday activity learning to sail for Cubs, Scouts, Venturers, Rovers and Leaders culminating in a SIS or Scouting Skills Sailing qualification for Venturers and adults or proficiency badges for Cubs and Scouts.

Location: Lake Chipping Norton off Hume Highway, Liverpool.  Turn off at Governor Macquarie Drive next to Warwick Farm Racecourse, turn into Ascot Drive and follow signs to Lake Chipping Norton.

GWS Region Will Supply instructors, boats and life jackets.

Participants will be asked to supply:

A change of clothes that can get wet

Dry clothes and a towel.

Water bottle, sunscreen and a hat.  Participants must wear water shoes at all times!

Please bring lunch and drinks as there are no shops.

Please wear uniform to and from activity.

Note: There will be capsize drill, rowing and sailing both as crew and skipper

Cubs, Scouts and Venturers - please bring your yellow, green or maroon record book for sign off for your proficiency badge or Outdoors tapes. Venturers bring your V1 for signature.

Participants over age 14.5 years who wish to gain a recognised qualification need to contact karen.huynh@nsw.scouts.com.au and request Level 1 and Level 2 Sailing workbooks.  These should be completed at the workshop. Please attach a copy of your sailing log from the workshop and any previous sailing experience.   E-learning is required for recognised qualification (Venturers, Rovers and Adult Leaders).  Please login to Scout Central training package and complete all e-learning under the title of ADVENTUROUS ACTIVITIES TRAINING - VET OUTCOMES.

THEORY SESSION - Monday 29th January - Bundilla Scout Camp - Rotary Hut.  Please complete your Sailing workbooks and come along with any questions to sign off night.
