Scout Event (EMS) was created by and is actively being developed by Matt Thompson (Deputy Region Commissioner, GWS Region).
Starting out as a uni project and event management system for Region events in 2015, the platform has since grown to handle a wide variety of events (including Group, District, Region and State events). As at August 2025, over 2,700 events have been successfully managed through Scout Event, with over 100,000 applicants and 80,000 payments processed.
