This is a survival camp for youth looking at achieving stage 4 and/or stage 5.
Additional Information

Parents please note on this camp the Youth members will not be sleeping in tents they will be sleeping in the emergency shelter they will be building as a part of the Safety and Survival test. They will have there own sleeping bags or blanket to use for the night if you do not wish for your child sleeping overnight without a tent please don"t send them . there will be back up sleeping arrangements in place if the weather turns bad on the camp.

WHO CAN ATTEND THE ACTIVITY: Cubs, Scouts and Venturers CLOSING DATE: March 9th 2024 on ScoutEvent

CATERING FOR THE WEEKEND: Cubs, Scouts, Venturers & Leader supply own dinner Friday night. All Youth will be seft-catering and cooking Survival Rations (youth to supply) on hiking stoves for Lunch Saturday. Sat & Sun Breakfast & Sat. Dinner will be catered for.

ACCOMMODATION FOR THE WEEKEND: Friday night will be bunk house sleeping / Scouts on Saturday night it will be their emergency shelters (no tents to be used over the weekend) Cubs will be in bunk house accommodation for the weekend.

GEAR LIST FOR CAMP:

  • Clothing for 2 days and Jumper.
  • Raincoat or Wind jacket.
  • Shoes or Hiking boots.
  • Sleeping gear ( sleeping bag or blanket or both).
  • Mess kit with tea towel.
  • Personal first aid kit.
  • Flashlight with extra batteries.
  • Personal shower gear and towel.
  • Water bottle.
  • Handkerchiefs.
  • Rope and tarp large enough to a build a emergency shelter to sleep in
  • Hat NO CAPS

COVID-19: Parents please do not send your child to the Bushcraft Survival Skills Weekend If they are unwell, or are showing symptoms
