– Scouts and older

 

Date:  8am 20th – 2pm 21st October 2018

(Activities run from 12noon 20th to 12noon 21st)

Location: Springwood Scout Hall 7B Sir Henrys Parade, Faulconbridge

Cost: $10.00 per person plus Troop/Unit/group own catering

Registration:  EMS by 20-October.

Planned Activities: Amateur (HAM) Radios, Electronic Fox Hunt, JOTI Internet (Teamspeak, Minecraft, JOTI TV)

 

Scouts are welcome to arrive from 8am on Saturday and setup camp sites but activities will not commence till 12noon.

Numbers are limited so first completed registrations have priority.  E1’s are essential as well as valid membership numbers.  Anyone without a completed E1 will not be permitted to attend.

Catering is on a Troop, Unit or any group basis.  The $7 Region JOTA/JOTI cost is to be paid to Region in the usual way through EMS.

Youth members must be supervised by at least two adult leaders either from the same Troop/Unit or combined with someone else.

 

 

-Joeys and Cubs

Date: Sat 20th Oct. 9am till 4pm. Two sessions – before lunch and after lunch. Indicate your sessions please on EMS.

Location: (old Glenbrook scout hall.) 4 Moore St Glenbrook.

Cost: Entry free and Badge $3 per person, paid through EMS.

Registration: EMS by 20-October.

Blue Mountains Scout Fellowship welcome you all. It is not necessary to attend full day. Family welcome to stay. Extra badges may be ordered on the day. Badges posted out after event. Sausage sizzle 12-2. Purchase on the day $2 sausage $2 drink. Leaders tea and coffee free. Youth must be accompanied by Leaders. Individual youth may attend but parent must stay and supervise. Cash only for food, no receipts given. Cash only for badges purchased on the day which will be receipted.

The Blue Mountains Amateur Radio Club will operate JOTA radios as well as supply electronic kits to construct on the day.  Joeys and Cubs will be welcome to talk on the radios and join in the other activities. 

There is quite often a que to communicate on the radios, so please bring an activity for your Joeys and Cubs to do while waiting. These activities will be conducted outside, tables and shade provided. Sunscreen and hats, please. Would suggest communication type activities.
