River Caves Canyon and Wolgan View Canyon (Dry Canyon)

This is a one day canyoning adventure with a plan to visit River Caves Canyon in the Morning and if time premits, we do Wolgan View Canyon in the afternoon, the first which involves a walk through a creek where you will get wet to your waist.  In the afternoon we will go through the easy Wolgan View Canyon (Dry Canyon).

All canyons are suitable for scouts.  As we will be doing 2 canyons this will be a reasonably long day so please ensure you are fit enough for the adventure.

River Caves canyon involves a wad through cold water, so participants must bring a well fitting wetsuit (2nd hand ones are easily obtained from CashConverters, however keep your eyes out for a sale at ALDI).

 Park at Natural Bridge Car park. AWD with clearance or 4WD preferrable 

Canyoning Equipment

All participants must bring with them a day pack containing:

2 litres water

Wetsuit

Lunch and snacks.

Raincoat

Sturdy non-slip shoes (Dunlop Volleys "preferred")

Thermal Underwear

Sun Hat & Sunscreen

Small first aid kit

Spare change of shoes and socks and clothes (to be left in the car for the trip home)

Jumper or fleece

Dry Bag or 3 strong plastic bag for waterproofing clothes and food)

Helmets and abseil gear will be provided for all participants, however you are encouraged to bring your own gear.

Transport / Logistics.

Meet at the Zig Zag Railway Carpark at 8:00am.
