Brief Summary:
Come join us on a cycling trip mainly on bike paths along both sides of the Cooks river in a 3.5km loop. We will cover all of the Cycling OAS 1 and most of the Cycling OAS 2 badge requirements for Joey and Cub participants.

This event is a cycling trip mainly on bike paths along both sides of the Cooks river in a 3.5km loop, aimed at Joeys and Cubs. It will cover all of the Cycling OAS stage 1 and most of the Cycling OAS stage 2 badge requirements.
Participants will learn about helmets, pump some tyres and oil some chains. They will also practise riding skills such as stopping at a line, weaving around obstacles and leaning into a turn.
Please meet at Steel Park (531 Illawarra Rd, Marrickville). Adults are welcome to ride with us, but will also need to register.
You should bring the following for the ride:
- A safe and functioning bicycle (no training wheels)
- A bicycle helmet that fits
- Enclosed shoes
- A backpack
- Water and snacks
- Sunscreen
- Raincoat or jacket, if needed
Please wear your Scout shirt, no scarf needed.
