Brief Summary:
Scouts, Venturers and Rovers with some previous bushwalking experience working towards stages of the OAS. Comfortable with pack under load and capable of a 20 km day. Patrol based, remote adult support.

Open to Scouts, Venturers and Rovers. Adult Leaders can attend in a support role.

7 April Arrive after 5 pm Caravan Park (Late drop off and early pick up can be arranged)

8 April Patrols walk from Caravan Park to Federal Falls campground

9 April Patrols alternate walking tracks in Mt Canobolas SRA

Spring Glade walking track, Federal Falls walk, Mount Towac walk, Nature walking track, Snowgum walking track, Summits walking track, Hopetoun Falls

10 April Patrols alternate walking tracks in Mt Canobolas SRA/Emergency scenario

11 April Patrols walk from Federal Falls campground to Caravan Park

12 April Close approx. 9 am Caravan Park

 

Cost

$30 per person contribution to Caravan park fee (x 2 nights) Pay on day

Pre night and post night at the Caravan park

4 days and 3 nights in the national park

This includes day and some night walking

 

Bring your own gear

4.5 days food supply, plus spending money for a hot meal or two in town

Dehydrated, dried or preserved for day 2 onwards

3L drinking water (storage for 4 L) and hiking stove and fuel

Own tent

Comfortable plain clothes, no unform we encourage you to wear your scarf
