Humeoree – Celebrating 80 Years of Hume Region!

Join us for Humeoree, a special all-sections camp celebrating 80 years of Hume Region! This exciting weekend is packed with activities, adventure, and opportunities to connect with Scouts from across the Region.

Activities for Everyone

The Activities Team has planned a range of exciting challenges, including:

• Sock Wrestling
• Crate Stacking
• Ninja Track

Take a journey through Hume Region’s history with the Heritage Team and enjoy:

• Shield Craft
• Scavenger Hunt
• Paddle Pop Boomerang Building and Throwing

Rovers will also be operating an epic Nerf War Base for youth members to enjoy.

Evening Entertainment

The fun doesn’t stop when the sun goes down! The Rovers will be hosting a Disco and a Campfire, providing plenty of entertainment for everyone throughout the evening.

Patrols and Activity Program

Following feedback received through the survey conducted earlier this year, youth members will be free to participate in bases as patrols and will be allocated times for adventurous activities such as crate stacking.

Home Groups are responsible for forming patrols of 6–8 youth members. Patrols may be:

• Mixed Joey Scouts and Cub Scouts
• Mixed Cub Scouts and Scouts
• Single-section patrols

Registration Information

Youth – 2 Nights

Joey Scouts, Cub Scouts, Scouts and Venturer Scouts
$40 per person

• Activities from 5:00 pm Friday until 3:00 pm Sunday
• Event badge
• Humeoree wristband
• Campsite allocation with your Home Group

Joey Scouts – 1 Night Only

$30 per person

• Must arrive by 8:30 am

Leaders and Rovers (Camping)

$30 per person

• Assisting with activity bases on Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday
• Includes event badge and Humeoree wristband
• Campsite allocation with your Home Group

Please note: Leaders and Rovers may arrive from 3pm Friday for event setup. No youth under 18 years of age are permitted on site before 5:00 pm unless prior arrangements have been made with the Event Coordinator.

Cooks -  approved by your Home Group

$30 per person

• Must be approved by your Home Group before registering
• Please discuss your role with your Home Group leadership team prior to registration

Important Information

Please ensure your Home Group is attending before registering. Due to catering and supervision requirements, if your Home Group is not attending and a youth member wishes to attend, please contact the Event Coordinator before registering.

Camping and Catering

• Gates open at 5:00 pm Friday for campsite setup.
• All members from the same Home Group must camp together in their allocated area.
• Campsites must remain within designated boundaries.
• Home Groups may organise their campsite layout as they choose—please discuss arrangements with your Leaders.

All food for the weekend will be organised by individual Home Groups. Speak with your Leaders regarding catering arrangements and any additional food costs that may apply.

Closing Ceremony

The closing ceremony will commence at 2:30 pm Sunday, with parent pick-up at 3:00 pm.

The Hume Region Scout Fellowship has launched an online merchandise store where you can purchase a range of Hume Region 80th Birthday commemorative items. Merchandise may be available as either in-stock items or pre-orders.

If an item is listed as a pre-order, please keep in mind that stock will need to be produced and supplied before it can be distributed, so additional waiting time will apply.

Please note: The commemorative badge available through the merchandise store is different from the event badge that youth members will receive when attending Humeoree.
