Venturer Initiative Skills Camp

Venturers will take part in a weekend focused on developing and building their initiative, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Throughout the camp, participants will be challenged through a range of activities designed to encourage independent thinking, communication, resilience, and working effectively with others. These activities will build towards the main challenge of the weekend: a four-hour initiative challenge on Sunday morning, where Venturers will put their skills into action.

This camp is a great opportunity for Venturers to test themselves, support their Patrol or Unit members, and grow their confidence in a practical outdoor environment.

Catering Information

This camp will be self-catered. Participants will need to bring their own food for the weekend and be prepared to cook their own meals.

Participants must also bring their own cooking equipment, including anything needed to prepare, cook, and eat their meals.

Accommodation and Facilities

Participants will need to bring their own tent and personal camping equipment.

Please note that facilities at the campsite will be basic, and bush toilets will be in use for the duration of the camp.
