Brief Summary:
Camp Overview Venturers are invited to attend a self-sufficient camping weekend at Camp Ku-Ring-Gai. This activity has been designed to develop camping, outdoor living, and personal responsibility skills by simulating the experience of a hiking expedition. Participants will be required to carry and manage all of their own equipment, food, and personal items throughout the weekend, just as they would on a multi-day hike.

Transport

Transport to and from the camp is the responsibility of parents and carers.

Parents are asked to drop off and collect their Venturer directly from Camp Ku-Ring-Gai at the designated times.

Food and Catering

This is a self-catered camp.

Venturers will be planning, carrying, preparing, and cooking their own meals, replicating the experience of a hiking activity.

Participants should bring sufficient food for:

Friday dinner
Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner
Sunday breakfast and lunch
Snacks for the entire weekend
Drinking water bottle(s)

Food should be lightweight, easy to transport, and suitable for outdoor cooking.
