Prerequisites:
1-You need to have spent 2 nights in a tent, at least 1 overnight where you carried all your gear in and out in your backpack.
2-You need to be able to fill out most of the trained participant bushwalking workbook on your own before the theory evening. You are to fully complete the trained participant bushwalking workbook PRIOR to the weekend walk and bring a printed copy with you for signoff. Should you have any questions prior please contact the event coordinator. The trained participant bushwalking workbook is in the documents tab of this registration.
3-You need to be able to walk with a backpack that will be over 10kg for all day. Fitness is required.
We will walk from Waterfall Train Station for about 10km to the camp site. We will do some exercises along the way and set up camp for the night. The next day we will walk out for about 10km again while we do some more excercises to Heathcote Train Station. You will need to be self suficient in terms of food, water and shelter. NP camping fees will have to be arranged during the online meeting.
During the theory session, we will aim to clarify the doubts you may have to complete the workbook and you will be given some waypoint to plan the route for the weekend.
