Brief Summary:
Hosted by SC&T and Hume Region Vertical teams, this weekend is to refresh annual Vertical Rescue Skills and/or gain skills in this critical area to standard meeting SISORSC002 and SISORSC003 units of competency. For refresh, this is a one day option (Sunday) and required for your ongoing professional development as an Activity Guide.
Additional Information
Minimum prerequisite is OAS stage 5, or Trained Participant Abseiling, and is ideal for those seeking skills towards Assistant Guide or Guide appointments.
Day 1 - hauling systems, rescues, self resuce, anchors, escape loaded belay, prussiking and other rope skills.
Day 2 - practical demonstration of skills.
Participants should bring their own vertical gear, ropes and rigging will be provided. Event is self catering, and tent camping is available for those staying overnight.
Cost - 2 days and not holding the SISORSC002 unit - $25. For one day refresher on Sunday, cost is $10.
