Brief Summary:
NSW Public school holidays. 6 km each way. Practice overnight hike during the school holidays. Ideal for older Cubs, Scouts and Venturers on their first overnight hike. No previous bushwalking or camping experience necessary. Good health and fitness required. Bring your opal card. Accompanied by a bushwalking guide with wilderness first aid.

Victoria Falls Road remains open to the trackhead carpark which is also a camping site.

We may include a short afternoon or night walk once the camp is set up. 

Bring opal card and spending money to buy some morning tea in town.

Regular trains to Mount Victoria from Sydney. Car parking available at Mount Victoria Station. This station is manned 24 hours.

Route:

Approx. 12 km total distance
Entry level, unsealed Victoria Falls Road. Quiet access road.  Gentle pace with regular breaks.
Windy loo toilet on site, however prepare for bush toileting in the event of closure for maintenance. 

Campsite:

Camping at a small clearing with a carpark, picnic table and windy loo toilet. Bush toileting and hygiene during hike. Scouts are encouraged to cook meals on fuel stoves.

Scouts can be picked up early on Monday if they have family or sporting commitments. An opportunity for youth members who are adjusting to carrying a loaded pack.
